I'm reasonably certain that wine is the most popular and prevalent beverage in Game of Thrones, and everyone's favorite vintage seems to be Arbor Gold (Dornish Sour comes in a close second...) so this week I'm tackling creating just that, some Arbor Gold. No, I'm not off stomping grapes and fermenting wine, so this is an Arbor Gold Cocktail, the popular Westerosi beverage as imagined as a mixed drink here on Earth.

For example this week on Game of Thrones, we saw Tyrion (and Sansa, and Varys) hiding out in the Crypts of Winterfell. Tyrion continually took swigs from a large wineskin, was it Arbor Gold in that skin? I think it likely was.

Arbor Gold

.5 oz. -or- 15ml. simple syrup
2 barspoons benedictine
1.5 oz. -or- 45 ml. Cognac
Stir over Ice
Rinse Glass in St. Germaine
Pour into Glass
Garnish with Rosemary
